Successful Perth owner/breeders Bob & Sandra Peters entrusted Belmont Bloodstock to purchase a More Than Ready filly on their behalf at the 2017 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Damon went to $625,000 to secure the filly by More Than Ready whom the Peters have enjoyed much success with in the past. Catalogued as Lot 701 and offered by Tyreel Stud, the filly is out of stakes placed Flying Spur mare Catalonia who is a half sister to stakes placed Pursuits (Lonhro) and Golden Slipper contender Jorda (Exceed & Excel).
“The filly has a proven cross being a More Than Ready out of a Flying Spur mare,” Damon Gabbedy said after signing for the filly.
“The dam is a half sister to Jorda, who is one of the early favorites for the Golden Slipper and the Peters family have had plenty of success with the More Than Ready breed.”
Peters also races More Than Ready 4 year old Perfect Reflection, winner of the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic.
“This filly was just a stand out, mature, great hindquarter, great length, great walker so we love her,” he said.
“She was very expensive, but it’s been a very strong sale and there was a lot of demand for her by the looks of it.”
The filly will now head to Perth. We congratulate the Peters family on acquiring
