The brilliant return to form by talented galloper LORDS RANSOM was a coup for Belmont Bloodstock Agency and Mungrup Stud in Western Australia.
Damon Gabbedy of Belmont Bloodstock Agency negotiated the sale of Lords Ransoms’ dam Palace Alice in foal to Group 1 winning and producing sire Bel Esprit to Gray & Jan Williamsons Mungrup Stud.
The resultant progeny, a bay colt will be offered as Lot 184 at the upcoming WA Magic Millions Yearling sale.
Mungrup Studs Gray Williamson said ‘we had been following Lords Ransom and knew that he had above average ability so when Damon offered us his dam Palace Alice, we purchased her immediately. Her Bel Esprit colt is an attractive well made type and a very good mover.’
Owned by Bob & Sandra Peters, Lords Ransom has always shown a ton of ability and took his record to 8 wins from only 17 starts in winning the Group 2 WATC CB Cox Stakes on the weekend. The Jeune gelding had already won the Bunbury & Pinjarra Cups and has now earned over $450,000 on the racetrack.
Palace Alice, a daughter of Palace Music was the stakesplaced winner of 10 races in Tasmania and Victoria. She has since foaled a colt by Mungrups Group winning son of Danehill in Danehill Express and is currently in foal to the hottest stallion in Western Australia, Oratorio.
