Belmont Bloodstock Agency had a great weekend with progeny of mares purchased through us winning a Group race at Ascot and a Listed race at Sandown.FAMOUS ROMAN a four year old entire by Danetime out of Famous Friend won his 5th race and took his earnings to $267,050 and earned himself a crack at the Group 1 Railway Stakes next weekend.Famous Friend was purchased by Belmont Bloodstock Agency for long term friends and clients Dawson Stud for $40,000 when in foal to Danewin. Famous Friend has turned out to be a great money spinner for Graham and Chris Daws with her progeny grossing $337,000 in yearling sales, a great return on their intial investment.This is the 2nd Stakeswinner for Famous Friend. The Danewin she was carrying at the time of purchase was named Light Of Prosperity he won 2 races in Australia before being exported to Singapore, he is now a winner of 5 races including the LISTED Penang TC Anniversary Cup.BERNICIA the brilliant winner of the MRC Listed Summoned Stakes is a daughter of the Group 1 Blue Diamond winner DANELAGH. Darley acquired Danelagh via Belmont Belmont Agency off Western Austrailan\’s Keith Biggs Enterprises.
At the time of purchase Danelagh was in foal to Fusaichi Pegasus and had an unraced 2 year old Zabeel colt and a yearling filly by Zabeel. The colt turned out to be Superstar Hong Kong Group 1 winner VENGEANCE OF RAIN and the filly the AJC Oaks winner DIZELLE. That added some value to Danelagh who was then mated with Elusive Quality to produce BERNICIA
Danelagh is now the dam of 3 Stakeswinners and has a 07 filly and a 08 filly by Kingmambo and is back in foal to the Champion US stallion.
