Crown Oaks Day provided another selective buy for Belmont Bloodstock Agency as the pedigree enhanced for the purchase of FAIR RANSOM (Red Ransom – Nuryandra).
FAIR RANSOM who was in foal to STARCRAFT at the time of sale, was purchased on behalf of Mr Ron Gilbert of Highgrove Stud for $180,000 at the 2007 Magic Millions Winter Broodmare Sale. The pedigree has received a boost after the win of ACOSTA (pictured below) on Crown Oaks Day, where he won TCL Electronics Plate beating home most of the fancied runners.
ACOSTA is a half-brother to FAIR RANSOM by Encosta De Lago, he has now won 3 from 13 and has been placed on one occasion earning a respectively $149,770 and looks certain to get black type. FAIR RANSOM has just foaled a beautiful filly by Encosta De Lago which will make her a 3/4 sister in blood to Acosta.
