Mendicity (4 f Blackfriars – True Bloom)broke through for her second win at Ascot on Saturday.  Scoring over 1200m, the Jim Taylor trainee took her prizemoney to over $95,000.

A $26,000 yearling purchase by Belmont Bloodstock from the Durham Lodge draft at the 2010 Magic Millions Perth Sale, Mendicity is raced by a group of owners  from a multitude of directions.

“Peter Collins is one of my old friends from school and this is his first horse,” Gabbedy explains. “For him to have his first ever racehorse win at Ascot is the thrill of a lifetime for Peter & his race loving parents. . Part owners Craig Yeo & Tony Buhagier have experienced success at the highest level being part owners of Gr 1 winning mare Ellicorsam.
