The purchase of Miss Gai Flyer by Belmont Bloodstock Agency for $250,000 at the 2009 Australian Easter Yearling Sale has paid immediate dividends for her connections, having earned over half of her purchase price in just four starts.
This filly by Flying Spur, was narrowly beaten when finishing a close second behind Motion Pictures in the recent Group 2 Karrakatta Plate at Ascot at only her fourth start. The form from that race has certainly stood up with Motion Pictures winning the Sires Produce Stakes at Belmont Park at her following start.
Miss Gai Flyer has won 2 of her four starts and since debuting with a win at Bendigo, she added a metropolitan win to her repertoire when winning a 2yo race at Moonee Valley by an impressive 2.5 lengths.
Following her maiden win, she was thrown in the deep end at her second start where she ran a very respectable 5th behind Crystal Lily in the Group 3 Sweet Embrace Stakes at Randwick. Crystal Lily of course went on to win the Golden Slipper at her next start.
Belmont Bloodstock wishes Miss Gai Flyer’s connections, Gary Pfeiler of Sunlands Produce all the best in her future racing career.
