Solzhenitsyn to stake his claim for black type

By August 8, 2011August 22nd, 2011General

Exciting galloper Solzhenitsyn (refer to previous news stories on website) made it 3 wins in a row on the weekend when unleashing one of his trademark sprints to record another narrow yet impressive victory.

Starting a well-supported $3.20 favourite over the 1350m at Doomben, Solzhenitsyn was caught 3 wide for the entire trip which added even more credit to the performance.

Trainer Robert Heathcote will now give the St. Petersburg gelding a well earned rest and set him for some black type races over the Brisbane summer carnival.
